Falling in Love with Potential

NEVER allow yourself to fall in love with someone's potential! If you don't like or can't accept 85 – 90% of who they are when you meet them – you have no business being in a relationship with them!

Generally:

Men go into a relationship based on what IS – Women go into a relationship based on what will be.

Men get angry when things change – Women get upset when things don't.

Tip:

Women – Do NOT expect to remake your man – if you think "if he loves me enough he'll change" – he will change if he wants to – regardless of how much he loves you.

Men – Your woman WILL change – accept it right now and save yourself allot of grief – women are process oriented and change is a part of their mentality – get used to it.

Falling in love with potential – especially UNREALIZED POTENTIAL – is a dangerous and eventually painful activity. You HOPE a different person will magically emerge from the "cocoon" you currently see – if you're doing that – STOP the hoping right now and realize that 90% of the time "What you see is what you'll get – now and in the future." Find someone who has realized their potential and establish a relationship with them – you'll be happier in the long run!
