Being as
authentic as possible, under all circumstances, is the best
way to guarantee you'll create and sustain the relationship of
your dreams. Too often we give-up who we are "for the sake of
the relationship", only to wake up one day wondering how we
became this stranger!
Your partner fell in love with the "you" you presented to them
at the beginning of your romance. The more authentic you were
then, the less "adjusting" will be necessary as the
relationship evolves. The thicker your façade is at the
beginning, the more danger your partner will feel ripped-off
as they get to know the "real" you and possibly/probably will
end up leaving the relationship.
It's never a good idea to pretend you're someone you're not,
because when you do, everyone loses. Being authentic, true to
yourself and lovingly honest about your wants and needs will
assure you live a wonderful, fulfilling and abundant life.
