Spring Forward, New Beginnings or What's that about the Rabbit Hole...?

Oh, Spring! I want to go out and feel you and get inspiration. My old things seem dead. I want fresh contacts, more vital searching.

Trees exploding with blossoms, birds happily feathering their nests and young men, and women's, fancies turning to thots of love... yes, dear friends, it is inexplicable, and this year, Spring was seemingly long over-due.

Behold, my friends, the spring is come; the earth has gladly received the embraces of the sun, and we shall soon see the results of their love!

We have always heralded Spring as the time for rebirth, renewal, cleaning out the old and embracing the new. A good mind-set, I would say, because it is in perfect harmony with nature, and untold millennia of historically documented, universal experiences. Great... our thoughts and activities are rooted in our DNA, so we MUST do something new, or at least think we are.

My point? For quite some time now, I have been seeing throughout my clientele and within friends and family, a desire to do/experience something new, in a new way, with new results. Spring has just focused more attention on a growing energy that is pervading the hearts and minds of humanity worldwide.

What we have been doing, on oh so many levels, in too many venues, is absolutely not working! Period. Relationships? The US Divorce rate is hovering at roughly 54%; environmentally we have to stop the ignorance and un-do the damage to our beautiful planet; politically... I wont even go there... my political soapbox will remain vacant, at least for this article. Most people I have discussed this phenomenon with, describe this experience as a hole in their hearts, or a void where real love and absolute peace should be. Sound familiar to any of you? If so, you're certainly not alone.

SO, what can a well-meaning, conscious person do? Glad you asked! Begin by assessing what you really want, heart and soul-wise, in every area of your life.

• Who are you... really?
• Why are you here?
• What would absolutely light you up?
• How would your life be, if it were PERFECT in every way?

You have to begin with yourself, before you can go out and change the world. Once you know how wonderful your life could be, (assuming it isn't 100% satisfying right now), then you can take the necessary steps to change what needs to change, heal what needs healing and nurture those long-held dreams into being.

*This must be done without the loving, or not-so-loving, input from the well-meaning nay-sayers that seem to hover around once you make a decision to change, grow or improve in some way. Love them, tolerate them if you must, but know that your journey is YOUR JOURNEY, regardless of what they think is best for you.

Secondly, examine that insidious void.

• What is it?
• When did it begin?
• What is it taking the place of?
• What is it being filled with right now?

I absolutely believe that almost every human being is here to learn, grow, evolve and return to love. (I used to say EVERY person fit that bill, but over the years I have seen some with such a HUGE void in their soul that only a few more trips around the Reincarnation wheel will hopefully heal them.)

So we all are on this Divine Quest to positively experience our Spirit in any and every conceivable way. The trip was originally intended to be a pleasant and invigorating adventure, but we sorta complicated the process along the way, so its time to SIMPLIFY.

Get down to basics - pure joy is SIMPLE. Pure love is SIMPLE. These are innate expressions of Spirit, so stop putting so many hurdles in your way.

How many times have you said...?

• Ill be happy when ______, or
• Ill enjoy my life when _________, or
• Once __________ is done, dead, or transformed, THEN Ill be able to ________!

Start by just BEING Happy and see what happens. Begin to APPRECIATE the good, bad and ugly, regardless of how un-fun it may have been. Experience SIMPLE, CHILDLIKE Joy as much as you can. For instance, when was the last time you splashed thru a sprinkler, ate roasted marshmallows, finger-painted, watched with delight as a Hummingbird flitted from flower to flower, belly-laughed while playing with your child, dog, cat, or hamster, or just marveled at a gorgeous sunset at the end of a perfect day? Love and joy just ARE... no effort, or assembly, required.

I know many of you have heard this before, and I can just hear the objections, especially the sprinkler suggestion. Many people KNOW this, but too many are simply not practicing it. Start small, start simply, start in short time frames and build up to bigger, better, longer and sustained states of love and joy.

BTW - this experience has to reside and emanate from INSIDE of you - self-initiated and self-sustained - NOT from someone else. Its not to say that another person or thing cant be the source of a wonderful experience, thus enhancing your love and/or joy, but if you are waiting for someone or something outside of you to make you happy, you are in for a long, disappointing wait dear ones. Its unfair to them to BE YOUR JOY, and its unfair to you to put that much power in the hands of someone who may, or may not, live up to your expectations of what love and joy should be.

BE LOVE and you will experience love. BE JOY and you will experience overflowing joy. BE THE LIGHT and you will shine in ways you have yet to imagine!

Now some of you may be saying, but, but, BUT Tana Marie...! Yes, we ALL have experienced pain, hurt, injustice, disappointment, and a myriad of other negative feelings and experiences. How can anyone possibly Be Love in the face of such atrocities?

• Start small.
• Start with what you CAN love, CAN enjoy, or CAN smile at.
• Forgive all those who have hurt you, (including yourself), and begin to think of forgiving those who, right now, seem unforgivable.
• Keep working at it, little by little, and it WILL get easier - I promise!
